Description

A technical expertise skill that nullifies enemy attacks and responds with a counterattack. 
Side effects: Skill # up, Damage up, Incantation time down, MP slowly falls
Strong against: Attack, Rush
Weak against: Spin, Long-Range attack

Progression

Requirements to unlock: None.
  • Gains expertise through use of Counter skills.

Skills

Tetra Counter Default Active Almighty Counter - - The user prepares a counter, and responds to attack and rush with counter damage.
Sword Slap 0-5 Active Almighty Counter 1 - The user prepares a counter, and responds to attack and rush with no effect on Friendship level.
Poison Counter 1-0 Active Almighty Counter 1

- The user prepares a counter, and responds to attack and rush with counter damage and poison effect.
Bind Counter Active Almighty Counter - The user prepares a counter, and responds to attack and rush with counter damage and bind effect.
Counter Zwei 2-0 Active (?) Almighty Curative 1 - The user prepares a counter. Enemies using Attack and Rush attacks receive counter-damage. Can be used twice in succession.
Vampire Counter 3-0 Active Almighty Counter 1 HP 5% User goes into a counter stance, counters Attack and Rush. Deals damage to both the enemy's HP and MP. (Absorbs 1/10th of damage

as MP. If MP damage is less than 10, you will only absorb 1 MP.)

In-Fight Counter 5-0 Active Almighty Counter 1 - The user prepares a counter, and responds to attack and rush with counter damage, but the enemy is not knocked back. Follow-up attacks are possible.
Strikeback (Bash) 7-0 Active Almighty Counter 1 - The Player gets into a Counter stance that can deliver tremendous damage when countering an Attack or Rush move.
Strikeback (Soul) 7-5 Active Almighty Counter 1 - The Player gets into a Counter stance that can severely deplete the opponent's MP when countering an Attack or Rush move.

How to Train Expertise

  • As usual, strip everything unless it contributes to Expertise gain.
  • Go to Home III Camp Ground, and attack the Rainbow of Victory Jack Frosts there.
    • They ALWAYS use rush.
    • Use Sword Slap instead of Tetra Counter if it is unlocked.
  • Make use of the Gakis in Virtual Battle room.
