The Terminal is your access to the Item Depository, Demon Depository as well as many other features.
[edit] How to Access the Terminal
The first thing you should know is that there are two sides (two ways of access) to your terminal. The First is through the Terminelle:

Item Depository: Allows access to your Item Depo.
Demon Depository: Allows access to your Demon Depo.
Clan List: Shows a list of Recruiting Clans.
Rental Motorbike: Allows you to rent a Motorbike if you have an active Licence.
Purchase tickets: Allows you to purchase Clan Permit, Item/Demon Depo Pass, and Bike Licence.
