[edit] About Deconstructing
You can convert Remain of Tokyo into raw materials using 2 types of tools. This is called Deconstructing. Remains of Tokyo are much more useful deconstructed than in their original forms.
[edit] How to Deconstruct
To deconstruct an item, you need a tool known as a Deconstruction Catalyzer. Catalyzers are sold in Yagiya and Magic Shops. As long as you have a Fuel Tank and item to deconstruct you can always perform a Deconstruction by using a Deconstruction Catalyzer.
When you can use a Catalyzer from the Item List a Deconstruction window and Fuel Tank window will be displayed on-screen. This is where you will find the items you own that can be deconstructed (at the top of the screen) while this shows the raw materials you can acquire through the Deconstruction, and the success rate (in the lower section of the top window).
Once you've checked the details, you can click on the Deconstruct button and let the game do the rest of the work for you. Well, I've explained only so much, but I think you'll learn faster if you just do it yourself.
I'll give you my spare Fuel Tank, so you want to give it a try?
[edit] Starting the quest
Yup, it's all about getting used to it. Now, let me see I will give you these Empty Can: Oolong Tea and Deconstruction Catalyzers so go ahead and deconstruct the cans into 10 pieces of Aluminum! If you out of ingredients, could you go and look for some more?
You can buy Catalyzers at Yagiya, and you should be able to gather Remains around here. Oh, yes. When you deconstruct an item that's been stacked you'll automatically deconstruct as many of that item in the stacks as you have Catalyzers.
If you only want to deconstruct a few items, you'll need to sort the item into smaller stacks. Also, if the maximum capacity for a certain raw material is already full making more of it will just make it go to waste, so keep an eye on its capacity level.
[edit] Finishing the Quest

- Great work!
Now you know how to deconstruct. There are other types of Catalyzers than the one you just used. Also, you can use the materials you collect to create special items.
But in order to do that, you'll need to have special knowledge and skills.
If you're interested, go see my master in Shinjuku Babel! He likes gems, so it might be good to take some as a gift.
